Operation Ba-Humbug

So a couple of months ago, my husband and I set out on a self-proclaimed mission, in which we entitled Operation Ba-Humbug. There is a house in our neighborhood that celebrates Christmas year round. Don't get me wrong. I love Christmas! I particularly love the joyful mood in the air as snowfall comes and the coziness it brings when curling up by the fireplace with a tall mug of hot chocolate. Outdoor lighting decorations are beautiful, but not so much when you STILL have them up in July. Our neighborhood is all about community service, so Chris and I decided one day to help our neighborhood friends out by taking down the lights for them. One Friday night around 2am, dressed in all black, operation Ba-humbug began as we helped by taking down every single light, off every single bush and all around the house and garage. We did the polite thing however though, we kindly placed the lights in their Herby Kirby, with a little strand peaking out from the lid for the tenants to know their whereabouts.

It made for really fun conversation when other extremly happy neighbors mentioned to us that they were so happy about the lights finally being gone; meanwhile Chris and I just laughed to ourselves. ha. Operation Ba-Humbug was a success!
